Standards of Conduct - Chat and Ventrilo

Treat each other with respect and consideration.

  1. No put-downs in guild chat, raid chat, vent or public channels.
  2. Please be mindful of how you represent yourself in trade chat and other public channels. We reserve the right to kick you from the guild if we feel your behavior in public chat channels reflects poorly on the guild.
  3. Please keep conversations in guild chat and vent positive and appropriate. Be mindful about what you say (or how you say something) that others may find offensive. Please make an effort to avoid racial slurs and racist/sexist etc. comments; at best this may anger your fellow guildies; at worst you may be kicked from the guild.
  4. Please don't start discussions about politics or religion in guild chat; people tend to feel pretty strongly about those things and discussions can become heated. Although we get along and are on the same page in-game, many of us have diverse backgrounds and experiences and will have very different opinions about these sensitive issues. Most of us are here to play a game and escape these kind of topics, and the officers would prefer not to monitor guild chat discussions.
  5. Please do not bring your personal problems or drama into guild chat or vent - but if there is something going on that will affect your ability to be on, please let an officer know privately.
  6. If you have a problem, please be considerate of others and do not argue or hassle people on vent or in guild chat or public chat channels. You can whisper an officer or send an in-game mail if you have any questions or concerns or think there is something that needs their attention.

Special Notes about Drugs, Alcohol, and Jackassery:

Guild Chat: We prefer to keep drug talk to a minimum in guild chat. Most of our members don't use drugs and just aren't all that interested.

We don't care what you do on your own time, and if you want to drink to excess or use drugs, that is your choice. If you like to log on pleasantly buzzed to quest on your alt or something, that's fine, but if what you are using turns you into a complete jackass and it starts to negatively impact others in the guild, then it becomes a problem.

If you log on WoW inebriated in anyway and start insulting others in guild and acting like a fool, you will be demoted. After you sober up, your rank may be restored and you will be given a warning to not let it happen again. If you do let it happen again, you will be kicked from the guild.

Raiding while Intoxicated: If we find out you are raiding high/drunk, you will be kicked from raid regardless of how you're acting. 24 other people are there to do their best at raiding. If you show up loaded, it tells us that being loaded is more important to you than raiding is, so we will oblige you by kicking you from the raid so you can enjoy your high. If you decide raiding is more important to you, we are happy to have you there sober.
